A campaign has been launched to stop rising violence in schools

KUwait, November 3: As part of the initiative of the Farwaniya Education District, Umm Ziad Al-Ashja’iya Girls’ Secondary School in Ishbiliyah, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Education, has launched a nationwide campaign titled “Together Against Violence” to combat rising violence among young people, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Ali Al-Ali, head of the Kuwait Anti-Violence Society, urged parents to protect and monitor their children, noting that several young criminals are currently in juvenile detention centers. He stressed the need to find solutions through policy changes in cooperation with government agencies and suggested schools check students’ bags and limit the use of phones.

Al-Ali emphasized that the campaign’s mission is to reintegrate youth into society as active and positive participants. He added that the society’s strategy is in line with Kuwait’s vision for the future, which aims to combat communal violence by promoting Islamic values ​​and cultural heritage through tolerance, social cohesion and respect. Furthermore, the society plans to provide coping skills to vulnerable groups and conduct research to understand and address community violence
