How did the incident go?

According to a report published in The Times of India, the accused has been identified as Dhanush Paramesh, son of businessman Paramesh, a resident of Nagarbhavi in ​​Bengaluru. Paramesh runs a travel agency in Bengaluru and recently bought a Mercedes-Benz. On Saturday evening, his son Dhanush took over the wheel and went to a mall near Yeshwanthpur with his friend. They both got drunk at a mall and decided to go to Mysuru Road for a long ride in a new luxury vehicle.

When Dhanush, who was driving the car, reached Kengeri station at high speed, he failed to notice the speed limiter and lost control of the vehicle. He hit a woman crossing the road, but did not stop. Dhanush fled the spot and stopped at a nearby signal where other passengers spotted him. He and his friend pulled him out of the car and beat him for reckless driving. They were later handed over to the police.

The victim was identified as Sandhya and was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared her dead. A senior police officer involved in the investigation told this newspaper: “Dhanush confessed that he was under the influence of alcohol while driving. He was convicted of culpable homicide not amounting to murder under Section 105 BNS. He is currently in judicial custody in Bengaluru Central Jail. His friend who was released with him.”
