TOTTENHAM midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur will not be able to return to training until he receives the green light from doctors.
27-year-old he fell on the field while Tottenham Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool on Wednesday.
Pedro Porro rushed to his aid before receiving treatment from club doctors and paramedics.
Bentancur he was then taken off on a stretcher with oxygen and taken to a nearby hospital.
After undergoing medical tests, he returned home on Wednesday evening.
Helper gave fans an update on social media, writing: “It’s okay guys! Thank you for your messages!!! Congratulations on your victory guys!!!”
Bentancur will now remain on the bench while he recovers.
According to Daily mailhe will not be allowed into the club’s training ground until he receives the green light from a doctor.
Spurs doctors will be in constant contact with the midfielder to ensure he is not sent back into action quickly.
Earlier this week, Tottenham defeated Liverpool in the first leg of the semi-finals.
Lucas Bergvall scored a late winner to give his side the advantage heading into the second leg at Anfield.
Discussing the incident with Bentancur after the match, the Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou he said, “I don’t have all the information.
“I understand he’s conscious and he was conscious when he got to the locker room. We took him to the hospital to check him out.
“It was disturbing and always disturbing, but from what I know I hope everything will be OK.”
