Convicted drug dealer back behind bars

Free on bail, convicted drug dealer Albert Angel Cunningham was using his city apartment “as a base of operations for his illegal drug enterprise” detective with the county narcotics unit, accused in the affidavit.

Just last week, between Jan. 13 and Jan. 15, Cunningham, 31, sold 3.5 grams of marijuana to an informant, the detective alleged in a new complaint filed in the office of District Judge Aaron Biichle.

In the same complaint, the Narcotics Unit charged Cunningham, of 917 Washington Blvd., Apartment 4, with allegedly selling marijuana to another man on Oct. 21, the day before investigators entered the apartment with a search warrant, leading to Cunningham’s arrest and imprisonment and possible release on supervised bail.

He has since been arraigned in Biichle on two additional felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance and jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

A Hughesville man allegedly kicked two state troopers

Steven Wayne Farver, 32, faces assault charges at the rear of 178 Cemetery St., according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Judge Denise Dieter’s office. in Hughesville after he kicked two state troopers.

On the night of December 23, Farver was brought to UPMC Muncy “alcohol detox”, Police said in a statement that he caused a disturbance when he tried to leave the emergency department. When troopers arrived at the hospital, Farver refused to obey their commands, forcing one of the troopers to use a Taser, police said.

Moments after being handcuffed, Farver kicked the soldier in the chest, the court document alleged. The affidavit alleged that while being transported to the Montoursville barracks in the back of a police car, Farver kicked another trooper in the right shoulder as he was driving on Interstate 180 West.

Appeared hours later before U.S. District Judge Denise Dieter on charges of aggravated simple assault, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person and harassment, Farver was initially jailed but was released on $50,000 bail. He recently waived his preliminary hearing.

A man from the Montoursville area has been charged in connection with a domestic disturbance

As a woman tried to gather her personal belongings at the Upper Fairfield Township home of her boyfriend, Matthew Danie Carey, on Monday morning, a 59-year-old man answered “double barrel shotgun” and fired one round into the wall, a state police affidavit said.

Without saying anything, Carey, 59, grabbed a knife and “put it down a woman’s throat” and then hit her in the head three times with a shotgun, police say. The victim managed to escape from the home, police said, adding that he was treated at UPMC Williamsport.

Carey was later arrested at his home at 40 Kuhns Road and arraigned before District Judge William Solomon on charges of recklessly endangering another person and simple assault. He was released on $25,000 bail.

Four charged with drug offenses in separate cases

Lycoming County Jail inmate and accused drug dealer Antwaine Cockrell, 36, of 2612 Dove St., was charged last week with delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a cell phone in connection with allegedly selling 1.6 grams of crack cocaine to an informant on the block 2200 of Lycoming Creek Road on Dec. 16, according to an affidavit filed by the county’s Crime Stoppers Unit. Drugs (NEU). After his arraignment before District Judge William Solomon, Cockrell was readmitted on an additional $25,000 bail. Shortly after that sale, Cockrell was arrested and jailed for a series of crimes accusing him of selling 50 bags of fentanyl to informants between Nov. 19 and Dec. 15, investigators say.

In another case, Ashley Nicole Giacomi, 36, of 1822 Southard Road, Trout Run, was arrested last week on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy for her alleged involvement in selling cocaine to an informant in the 300 block, according to NEU statement, High Street on 20 December. Following her arraignment before District Judge Aaron Biichle, Giacomi was released on $75,000 bail.

In another case, Sean Beam, 42, of 117 W. Sixth Ave., South Williamsport, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after NEU detectives discovered a small jar containing methamphetamine while executing a search warrant at his home on Oct. 10. – according to court documents. He waived a preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Whiteman and is free on $5,000 bail.

In another case filed with Whiteman, Mindy Lee Nichols, 40, of 601 ½ W. Southern Ave., South Williamsport, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing 3.2 grams of methamphetamine on Sidney Street on Dec. 26, 2023, according to a state police affidavit. She has since waived her preliminary hearing and is free on bond of $5,000.

City woman charged with child endangerment

Isabella Rivera-Batista, 20, of 611 Locust St., was arrested on a felony charge of endangering the welfare of a child after “leaving an 11-month-old child unattended at home for an extended period of time” around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, city police alleged in an affidavit.

Police said the charges were filed after Lycoming Housing maintenance workers found the baby abandoned in a crib. After his arraignment before Biichle, Rivera-Batista was released on $75,000 bail.
