Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta says gunshot attack on car is a ‘conspiracy to silence him’ – India News

Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta on Saturday claimed that his car he was released while traveling from Ajmer to Delhi early in the morning. Ramchandra Chaudhary, Ajmer Circal Officer, confirmed that the police had started an investigation following Gupta’s complaint.

According to authorities, the incident took place after a court hearing in Ajmer on January 24. Gupta was reportedly attacked by motorcycle-borne assailants on the Ajmer-Jaipur highway the next day. Police found scratches on the car door and registered an FIR while continuing to search for the suspects. The FSL team was called in to collect evidence. Gupta stated that the bullet struck the rear driver’s side door.

In an interview with Indian Express, Gupta spoke about the incident and said, “Two bikers shot at my car. It was too early for anyone to be visible due to the low light. When I heard the gunshot, I told my driver to speed up. When I looked behind me, I saw the bikers running away. “

Gupta also revealed that he has been receiving death threats for some time and has lodged multiple FIRs in Ajmer and Delhi. He believes the attack was part of a “well-planned conspiracy” aimed at silencing him and preventing him from advancing the “Dargah cause”.

In November 2024, the Ajmer court admitted a petition filed by Gupta seeking an inquiry into the Ajmer Sharifa Dargah, demanding evidence of an ancient Shiva temple beneath the temple. Gupta’s petition referenced a 1911 book by retired judge Harbilas Sardy that suggested that temple impurities were used in the construction of the Dargah. Two hearings were held in this case, the latest on January 24.
