Indonesian arrested for false mykad and birth certificate to conduct business

Jaya’s petaling: Indonesian was arrested after she allegedly used the forged Malaysian identity card (Mykad) and birth certificate to run a company in Kuantan in Pahang.

The 36-year-old suspect, from Medan, was arrested during the raid on Sunday (January 26).

The Director of the Investigation and Enforcement of the GDR Registration Department (GDR) Mohammad Khairu Farhan MD Saad said that the suspect was detained in her residence at Kampung Kempadang, where the investigators found both an important Indonesian passport and a false Mykad Mykad.

“It is believed that the woman acquired a birth certificate belonging to another person from the agent for 8,000 RM, who was then used to obtain my mycads,” said Mohammad Khairu Farhan in a statement from Monday (January 27).

He is currently suspected in custody further investigations in accordance with the rule 25 para. 1 lit. b) national registration regulations of 1990, which leads to three years in prison, which is a maximum fine of 20,000 RM, i.e. both if they are convicted.
