Bombay: Lovers wearing short skirts or discovering clothes will not be allowed in the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Bombay from next week, according to the Code of Ubior announced on Tuesday.

Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust (SSGTT) said that lovers would have to wear a decent and body covering clothes, preferably a decent Indian dress.

From next week, devotees wearing a revealing or inappropriate outfit will not be able to enter the temple located in the Prabhadevi region, said SSGTT.

Trust said that the decision about the clothes occurred after a few complaints regarding improper clothing, causing discomfort to other lovers.

“Lovers wear pants with pieces or torn fabrics, short skirts or clothing that reveal the parts of the body, will not be allowed inside the temple,” an order was found.

Trust said that the temple attracts thousands of devotees from all over the country every day and that many visitors expressed concerns about the costumes, which they thought were missing at the place of worship.

“After receiving repetitive requests, Trust Trust decided to implement clothing to preserve the holiness of the temple,” he said.

Trust explained that he was introduced to clothing to ensure that all lovers feel comfortable during a visit and maintain a decor in the temple.
