Residents run away from Goma when the M23 rebels deepening the humanitarian crisis in DRK

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, intensive fights continue between M23 soldiers and the government forces after the Rebel Group won a part of the key city of Goma, the capital of the province of North Kivu. The Congish government said that bombs are dropped to hospitals and camps for displaced people to “terrorize” local populations. Hospitals are overwhelmed and the inhabitants run away in thousands.

The coalition of civil society groups gathered on Monday in Bukavu in the eastern Congo, condemning the failure of the UN Security Council the day before.
