Harrison Ferrison commissioners approve the creation of a response team to sexual assault

Marshall, Texas (KLTV) – Harrison Ferris officials and sexual assistance centers join forces to create a sexual assault response team.

“We care about our people here, our victims. We want to make sure that this is a safe place to live and develop, and if a problem occurs, we solve it on time, “said the Faithful Judge Harrison Chad Sims.

One of the groups perceives a few clergy officials and helps the center as the most effective way to prevent these crimes.

“We want to do everything in our power to stop the perpetrators from harming more people in our community. The combination of various agencies to cooperate and share information is really the best way to prevent these crimes, “said Roxanne Stevenson, CEO Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center.

According to the centers of spokesman for children in Texas, three out of five children who are attacked, never report sexual abuse. This number of unrefined cases not only in children, but all, is something that Stevenson hopes to reduce this team.

“I think we can agree that even one sexual assault is too much. But when you have dozens of children and adults who are violated every year, it really requires all the resources that we need to help the victims, “said Stevenson.

For Sims, it is about providing justice to those who committed sexual assault.

“Make sure that we treat a person who has been attacked, that we receive their help, and certainly justice they deserve. If we can do our work and make sure that these people are closed where they can’t hurt anyone else, I think we have to do it, “Sims said.

Sims claims that the group will meet quarterly to assess the team’s needs and answers.
