Court Chhattisgarh’s Korba sentenced Harbhajan Singha Kanwar, the son of the former main minister Madhya Pradesh, the deceased Pyarelala Kanwar and four others to live after they were guilty of murdering his second son Pyarellal and his family in 2021.

Among the convicts are the wife of Harbhajan, Dhankunwar and his brother -in -law Parmeshwar Kanwar, in addition to two other people, the Mannewal and Surendra Singh Kanwar Rampragains.

According to the additional prosecutor Krishna Kumar Dwivedi, a district judge and additional sessions (III) Sunil Kumar Nande on Wednesday (29 January) sentenced the accused after determining that Harbhajan excluded a conspiracy aimed at killing Harish Kanwar, his wife Sumitra Kanwar and their daughter Yashika (who She had 40, 35 and four years respectively at the time of her death) due to the dispute over the property.

The victims were brutally murdered in their house in the village of Bhaisma in Korba on April 21, 2021. After the attackers attacked them many times on their heads and other parts with sharp weapons.

After Harbhajan, his wife and their two daughters went for a walk in the early hours of the murder, Parmeshwar reached the house on a motorcycle with two others and murdered three people. The attackers did not kill Janki Bai, Mother Harish and Harbhajan, who was present at the time at that time. Dwivivedi said that her testimony against her older son was also crucial when determining the fault of the accused.

The accused were found guilty in accordance with sections 302 (murder), 120b (criminal conspiracy), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Criminal Code, 1860 and other provisions, he added.

Pyarelal Kanwar, Congress politician, was the deputy minister of the undivided Madhya Pradesh in 1993-1998. He died in 2011.
