One dead, 13 injured in a bus accident in Tanahun

The woman was killed and 13 others were injured when the bus fell over in Abukhaireni of the rural commune-1, Tanahun, on Friday afternoon.

According to deputy police superintendent, Ashoka Thapa turned over on culverts after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus went to Mickling from Damula.

Sumina Sapkota, 22, from Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan, died in a disaster. She was announced dead at a hospital in Abukhaireni.

The police took the bus driver Rabindra Ghale, 35, from the Bhanu-5 commune, to custody.

Damanti Thapa, 42, with Abukhaireni-3, suffered facial injuries and was directed to the Social Hospital of Narayani in Chitwan for further treatment.

The remaining 12 wounded passengers receive treatment at the Abukhaireni hospital.
