20 victims of the tragic DC collision in the air

Some of their families and friends now talk about their loved ones, they disappeared too early.

At least 14 people returned from the elite camp on the character plate during a flight, which crashed near the reagan national airport.

Six victims had connections with the southern New England.

The club of skating members of Boston Jeen Han and her mother, Tin, Marrington, a resident and a skater Spencer Lane as well as his mother Christine and coaches Vadim Naumov and Evgeniua Shishkova were on board the American Airlines flight from Wichita, Kansas.

Nancy Kerrigan, a former Olympic skater and the Boston Alum skating club, told about how this tragedy affects the compact community.

“I’m not sure how to process it,” said Kerrigan.

“We extended the tragedies as Americans, as people, and we are strong, and I think we react to it.”

A resident of Barrington, 16-year-old Spencer Lane, was a figure skating star in his community, which has just qualified for the National Development Camp in November.

Spencer’s father, Doug Lane now mourns his wife and son’s loss, speaking highly Spencer’s talent as a figure skater.

“The best way to describe it is that he was the strength of nature, he just had amazing sports skills,” said Lane.

Spencer’s father said he was grateful, that his son’s last week was full of joy, doing what he loved.
