The woman lost her life after she was chased and apparently stabbed many times by three people, including a minor outside the popular restaurant in the full public view in the eastern outskirts of Calcutta in Bengal West, the police said on Friday.

The victim identified as Rofiya Saquil, at the age of about 20, was apparently pulled out of the car next to the pub and prosecuted before killing on Thursday evening. Three suspects in connection with the incident were detained, and the woman’s body was sent to the posthumous, PTI quoted a police officer.

The police are investigating the possible non -marriage romance as a motive for a brutal attack on a woman from Raja Ramnayan Street in Narkeldang. The alleged relationship of a woman with Mohammed Fahruk Ansari, whose family members are suspected of organizing a crime, are examined.

The police quotingly eyewitnesses said that the attack took place around 20:30 on Thursday, when a woman came to Dhaba near the eastern metropolitan beltway in the District of the Police Station in Pragati Maidan in the company of Ansari.

The victim, identified as Squil, was taken to the State NRS Medical College and Hospital, where she injured about 2 on Friday, despite the emergency operation. Doctors attributed excessive bleeding as the cause of her death after the attack.

Uncle of the deceased woman said that family members had no idea about her extramarital relationship. “We got a message around midnight. She went to her parents’ place and we had no idea who she was meeting with, “he said, as PTI reports.

The oppositions respond to a safety situation for women in Bengal

In response to the incident, the opposition criticized the safety situation of women in West Bengal, demanding that the main minister of Mamat Banerjee take responsibility and resolves.
