A 24-year-old man dies after he fell badly, running a half marathon on Glasgow Green

The man died after he fell bad while running a half marathon in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Glasgow Green around 11.15 on Saturday after the 24-year-old got sick.

The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, but he died shortly after arrival.

Scotland police said that they are not considered suspicious circumstances of death.

The report will be submitted to the tax prosecutor.

A spokesman for a police in Scotland said: “Emergency services participated in the result of a report of a 24-year-old man who undertook badly in Glasgow Green around 11.15 on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

“The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he died shortly after.

“It is believed that there are no suspicious circumstances and the report will be submitted to the Tax Prosecutor.”
