A student involved in an accident while crossing the road near Mint Hill

The student was involved in an accident while crossing the street near Mint Hill on Monday morning, said a spokesman from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

It happened in the 7300 Lebanon Road block, near Milton Morris Drive in Mint Hill, with a drug confirming that they were in place just before 8 am

Also: a second person arrested for the murder of a woman found in a broken car

According to CMS, a student – attending Independence High School – was “involved in an accident” while cutting the street near Liban Road Elementary.

“Because the safety of our students is our priority, we wanted to make you aware of this incident,” said officials in the message sent to Independence high school families.

Around 8:20 Medic said that one patient involved in the accident was transported to Atrium CMC with serious injuries. Another patient with slight injuries was treated on the spot.
