The most prestigious are Spelman College and Morehouse College historically black institutions in the nation. This past weekend, fans, alumni and various connoisseurs of these schools came to Atlanta to pay tribute to the opportunities and friendships made there, and returned to showcase their styling skills. Return it’s a special time of year that, for many of us, gives us a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come. There were grand homecoming celebrations in Atlanta. AND elegant people reigned supreme all weekend.

For some, wearing T-shirts with school names engraved on them was enough. But for others, game day is about showing off your style. This meant using shades like pink in interesting ways or wearing cropped shirts in the face of ubiquity short shorts tendency. Throughout the ages, all participants had one thing in common – showing school pride put a smile on everyone’s face. There were countless ways to show pride this weekend – and it was undoubtedly a return to the schools that made each person who they are. Some students still remember this activity, so it was nice to see their take on homecoming outfits.
