George W. Bush’s daughter Barbara supports Harris against Trump, knocks on doors in Pennsylvania for vice president

There is only one week left until Election Day, yet another member of the Republican political dynasty is withdrawing his support Vice President Kamala Harris.

Tuesday, Barbara Pierce Bush, daughter former president George W. Bush and granddaughter former President George H. W. Bushshe revealed that she supports her Harris in next week’s election.

She was the first daughter fraternal twin sister of Jenny Bush Hager, anchor of NBC’s “Today” show. he spent part of last weekend on the campaign trail knocking on doors on the battlefield in Pennsylvania for a Democrat.

“It was inspiring to join friends and meet voters in the Harris-Walz campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend,” Bush, 42, told People magazine. “I hope they will move our country forward and protect women’s rights.”

This isn’t Barbara Pierce’s first case Bush publicly broke with the Republican Party. In 2017 she was keynote speaker at Planned Parenthood Texas fundraiser, where she praised the organization’s work and emphasized the need for its advocacy under Donald Trump.

Although her father had made that clear does not plan to endorse any candidate this cycle– says his former vice president, Dick Cheney he has already endorsed Harris. And Cheney’s daughter, former Republican Liz CheneyR-Wyo., he has appeared with Harris on the campaign trail several times in recent weeks. Bush isn’t the only former first daughter supporting Harris. Susan Ford Bales, daughter of former President Gerald Ford, announced her support for the vice president last week.
