Daily Monitor reports that Charles Tayebwa, a third-grade final student, and Bosco, a domestic worker, were killed in the accident.

The landslide that occurred late at night took residents by surprise when it entered the house, demolishing its walls and causing deaths.

Internet users console the mourning Kabale family

The news caused an avalanche condolences on social media, where many users are mourning the tragedy and wondering about the risks of living in steep, erosion-prone areas.

Ejiku Lazarus Blazo commented: “Slopes like this are always not safe; over time they become weak and unstable under atmospheric conditions.”
