RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Broughton High School was on Code Red lockdown while law enforcement responded to a potential threat at the school.

The school is now called Code Green.

According to Raleigh police, all students at the school are safe.

The Raleigh Police Department said it received a report of a suspicious person at the school, but there is no active shooter at the school. This person has not been found yet, and officers have not confirmed whether there is a threat to students.

Still, the school was closed as a precaution.

The closure comes on a day when additional security measures were already in force at the school. That’s why A Broughton student was caught with a gun on Monday off campus during lunch.
