Nishadh Yusuf, film editor, found dead in apartment, cops suspect suicide

Nishadh Yusuf won the National Award for Best Editor for his work on ‘Tallumaala’.

Police said renowned film editor Nishadh Yusuf was found dead in his apartment in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He was found around 2 am in a flat in Panampilly Nagar.

The policeman said there was a suspicion that it was a suicide. However, he did not provide further details.

Winner of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor in 2022, Yusuf’s notable works include ‘Thallumaala’, ‘Chaaver’, ‘Unda’, ‘Saudi Vellakka’, ‘One’, ‘Operation Java’, ‘Bazooka’ and “Kanguva”. ‘.

He won the state award for best editor for his work on ‘Thallumaala’.

His upcoming releases include ‘Bazooka’ starring actor Mammootty and Tamil film ‘Kanguva’ starring Suriya.
