Crash closes section of I-81 in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – A section of I-81 is closed in Franklin County after an early morning multi-vehicle crash near the Pennsylvania border in Maryland.

According to PennDOT, the crash occurred at 2:34 a.m. Wednesday on northbound I-81 between Exit 1 at Mason Dixon Road and Exit 3 at Molly Pitcher Highway. All lanes are closed.

Delays continue to increase, but PennDOT estimates the roadway will reopen shortly before 7 p.m.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
