Asian woman arrested for assault in viral video

KUWAIT, Oct 29: The Interior Ministry’s Criminal Investigations Department and the Saad Al-Abdullah Criminal Investigation Division have detained an Asian woman who was seen in a video widely circulated on social media assaulting and torturing another person of the same nationality, with the victim’s hands tied.

According to the Department of Public Relations and Media Security, the suspect was handed over to the competent authorities for further legal action.

The department stressed its commitment to prosecuting anyone who threatens the nation’s security and stability. They reaffirmed that all necessary legal steps will be taken to stop such criminal acts, with a view to protecting public safety and upholding the law without exception.
