Viral Video from Karnataka: Former Mayor’s Son Attacks Police, Leading to Violent Argument

Viral video from Karnataka: According to reports, a man, the son of a former municipal president, allegedly slapped a policeman at Pandavapura police station in Mandya, Karnataka, leading to a violent altercation.

According to media reports, Sagar, son of former Jagadish municipal president, attacked police officials during interrogation in connection with a land dispute with his family.

Sagar allegedly attacked the complainant and later turned violent towards the officers.

The accused was placed in custody for 14 days, and NDTV the report stated.

A video of the altercation has gone viral on social media, with some users claiming that no action will be taken against Sagar due to his political background.

“Nothing will happen to him. He must have a strong political background from one of the parties. There is good reason to believe that he will not leave the collar even though others try to separate him. Then, in desperation, the police will show their anger to ordinary people,” commented one of the users.

“That is why our nation is lagging behind in every respect. Political influence has made our country so stupid,” added another.

However, social media users claim that the policeman was the first to hit Sagar, which forced him to defend himself. They also questioned the police’s right to hit a civilian “just like that.”

“Bad headline. The policeman hit the man, to which he reacted. Do police officers have the right to hit someone like that? Unfortunately, this is a very common scene in India,” one user commented.

“I support this guy. The misuse of power must be addressed. The common man needs legal support in India. If India needs to change the law, it needs to be updated on many issues first. Remove period British laws, police are there to serve the people, not suppress the people. This is our India, not the British,” another user commented.
