Chicago crime: Kimari Tousant charged with murder in West Side stabbing Jessica Flag on Chicago Avenue, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police say a woman has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a woman on the West Side.

The incident occurred on Friday around 12:15 p.m. at 5300 West Chicago Avenue, Chicago police said.

Police said a 20-year-old woman is accused of getting into a fight with 20-year-old Kimari Tousant outside.

According to the police, both women were injured by a sharp object.

Police said the woman who originally contacted Tousant was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she died.

The medical examiner identified the deceased woman as Jessica Flag.

Tousant was transported to West Suburban Hospital in good condition with multiple cuts to his arm and taken into custody, police said.

Tousant was charged with first-degree murder, which was deemed a felony with a high degree of probable cause.
