A Gresham High School student faces criminal charges after making false threats

GRESHAM Ore. (KPTV) – The Gresham Police Department said Wednesday that a Gresham High School student faces criminal charges after making a school shooting threat on social media.

The threat was sent the day before the Gresham-Barlow School District organized safety meeting during which Police Chief Travis Gullberg spoke about his commitment to student safety.

“A 15-year-old Gresham High School student posted multiple photos and videos of weapons, threatening to shoot up the school,” Gresham police wrote. “A community member contacted the Gresham Police Department and reported the threats to officers, who immediately began an investigation.”

They also said the FBI was involved in the investigation.
