Two people killed and 22 injured in New Year’s Eve fireworks incident in Hawaii

Two people were killed and 22 injured in a shooting in Hawaii on New Year’s Day.

Honolulu emergency responders were called to the scene in the Salt Lake-Aliamanu area in the early morning hours of Jan. 1 for a reported incident.

The public is urged to avoid the area as emergency services deal with casualties.
