West Valley police shot and killed a suspect accused of killing his parents

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The West Valley City Police Department says one of its officers was involved in the fatal shooting of a suspect who allegedly killed his parents. The names of the deceased were not revealed.

According to police, they were called to a home in the 3300 block of Enterado Avenue on Wednesday at 5:12 p.m.

When officers entered the home, they found the bodies of an adult male and female resident of the residence. Officers also found the adult son of the deceased couple, who also lived in the house.

The police say the man is suspected of murdering his parents, but have not said what led them to this conclusion.

According to the officers’ accounts, during the encounter with the suspect, the officer shot at the suspect, killing him.

The Salt Lake County Officer’s Critical Incident Protocol Team is currently investigating the deaths. The team is led by the Salt Lake City Police Department.
