Last chance for candidates to submit missing documents

New Delhi:

The National Examination Board for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has published a notice informing foreign graduates of medical universities about the deadline for submitting qualifying documents by January 5, 2025. The board has also published a list of candidates who have not submitted documents that have deficiencies in their application.

The official NBEMS notification reads: “Pursuant to point. 2.8.3 and 8.27.2 of the FMGE Information Bulletin for December 2024, a list of candidates is published who, even by December 30, 2024, have not completed the deficiencies in determining their eligibility for FMGE is limited. Candidates have one last chance to submit the required documents. Documents can only be submitted via the online document submission portal from 03/01/2025 (11:00 a.m.) to 05/01/2025 (23:55).”

The shortcomings are of the following nature and have been communicated to the relevant candidates by NBEMS by email:

  • Basic Medical Education Certificate/Temporary Pass Certificate duly endorsed/authenticated by the Indian Embassy in the country where the Basic Medical Qualification was obtained.
  • Eligibility certificate issued by NMC/MCI (if applicable)/admission letter/proof of NEET-UG qualification
  • Proof of citizenship
  • Inconsistency of name and date of birth in the submitted documents
  • Supporting documents for transfer from one medical facility to another
  • 12th and Caste Standard Certificate Mark Sheet (SC/ST/OBC)

Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination. Candidates who submit both the Certificate of Eligibility (if applicable) and the Provisional Pass Certificate/Basic Medical Qualification Certificate will be allowed to appear in the examination.

“Candidates who do not meet the prescribed eligibility criteria will be deemed ineligible and admit card will not be issued to them. The opportunity to submit missing documents will no longer be provided,” the notification added.

The exam, conducted by the State Examination Commission for Medical Sciences, is scheduled for January 12. The admit card for the exam will be issued on January 8, and the results will be announced by February 12.
