Three people died in an accident involving the TV One crew on the Trans Java toll road

Pemalang. A TV One crew vehicle was involved in a fatal accident on the Trans Java Toll Road in Pemalang, Central Java on Thursday around 6:30 a.m., resulting in three deaths and two injuries.

The victims included driver Suardi, who suffered serious head injuries, a broken nose and a laceration to his right leg. Suardi, a resident of Jalan Taman Asri II in Penggilingan, East Jakarta, was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to RSI Al Ikhlas Taman Pemalang Hospital.

The second fatality, journalist Marwan, who was sitting in the second row behind the driver, suffered injuries to his chest and chin and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The third victim, cameraman Alwan Syahmidi, seated in the third row, suffered a broken right foot and abdominal injuries. Alwan, a resident of Jalan Joglo Raya in Kembangan, West Jakarta, was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to RSI Al Ikhlas Taman Pemalang Hospital.

Two passengers survived the accident with injuries. Television journalist Felicia Amellinda Deqi Priata, 24, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, suffered a minor head injury and a laceration to the back of her head. Felicia, a resident of Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, was conscious and received treatment at RSI Al Ikhlas Taman Pemalang.

The second injured passenger, journalist Geigy Yudhistira, sitting in the second row on the left, suffered a minor head injury and facial abrasions.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
