Bronny James: LeBron’s son scores first NBA points after Los Angeles Lakers defeat

Bronny James scored his first NBA basket for the Los Angeles Lakers in a 134-110 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Evan Mobley scored 25 points and Donovan Mitchell added 24 as the Cavaliers reeled off five straight wins, their best start to a season since 2016-17.

LeBron James, 39, who previously played twice for Cleveland, and his son Bronny, 20, made history last week by becoming the first father-son duo to share the court in an NBA game during the Lakers’ season opener v. Minnesota. Timberwolves.

“To see him score his first NBA basket in the arena where he grew up not far from here is an unbelievable moment,” LeBron said.

Bronny came on with just over five minutes left in the game against the Cavaliers and scored his first NBA points, beating Tristan Thompson a step back with a 15-foot jumper.

He missed a three-point shot with less than a minute left as his father finished with 26 points, six rebounds and six turnovers.

Meanwhile, Pascal Siakam scored the decisive three points with 7.3 seconds left in overtime and helped the Indiana Pacers defeat the Boston Celtics 135-132 in Indianapolis.

Jaylen Brown missed a three-point attempt to tie the game on the defending champions’ final possession, resulting in their first loss of the season.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 44 points as the New York Knicks defeated the Miami Heat 116-107 and the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the San Antonio Spurs 105-93.
