Overland train arrives at holiday park in Cornwall – 10 people in hospital | UK news

Ten people were taken to hospital after an overland train overturned at a holiday park in Cornwall.

Looe Land Train, which runs tours around the coastal region, said it was involved in an accident while carrying passengers at around 7pm on Wednesday.

The company said that during the event at Tregoad Holiday Park in St. A Martin land train carriage overturned and “many passengers were injured”.

A land train is a vehicle that can travel on roads and looks like a train.

Welcome to Looe & Polperro, the tourist group in Cornwallreleased a statement from the land rail company saying it was “devastated” by the incident.

“According to emergency services, 10 people are being treated in local hospitals,” Looe told Land Train.

“We also understand that none of these injuries are critical or life-threatening.

“At the moment, the cause of the accident is unknown. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

“We will cooperate fully with any investigations conducted by the authorities.”

The land rail company said events for the rest of the half-term break were canceled following the incident.

He added: “We will be contacting everyone who has booked directly to issue a full refund.

“As a family business we are devastated by the accident and our thoughts are with all those injured or affected.”

Cornwall Live said canceled events included Ghost Train and Looe’s Halloween Trick or Treat.
