Camera trap experiment reveals amazing discoveries in ‘essential sanctuary’ of Cambodia’s Cardamom Mountains

The first-ever camera trap survey in the Cardamom Mountains in southwestern Cambodia has given us an unprecedented insight into the incredible and endangered wildlife that inhabits the region and confirmed how important camera trap footage is to conservation.

The Cardamom Mountains, where over 95% of the forest remains intact, are among the most pristine wilderness areas in Southeast Asia and have long been considered a safe haven for endangered species.
