Convicted felon arrested for Waterbury shooting

WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) – A Waterbury man was arrested on a long list of gun charges following a shooting.

On October 25, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Timothy Johnson.

The shooting occurred on September 29 on Scovill Street. Police said a 36-year-old man was found in the driveway with a gunshot wound. He survived.

Police revealed that Johnson had been identified as a suspect.

Police called Johnson a convicted felon with previous drug convictions. They also said he was a parole fugitive in active violation of his parole order.

He was found on October 29 and placed in custody.

Police charged him with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm/ammunition, criminal possession of a pistol/revolver, criminal use of a weapon, criminal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, violation of a firearms license requirement, unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and criminal trespass. second degree room.

He was placed in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
