State Police Made Three Drug Arrests | News, sports, work

DELTA COUNTY – Three people have been indicted on drug-related charges in Delta County following three separate investigations by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Gladstone Post.

MSP announced the three arrests in a news release sent Thursday morning.

On January 3, around 2 a.m., Gladstone Post MSP officers made a traffic stop for multiple violations on Stephenson Avenue near 6th Avenue North in Escanaba. Police identified the driver as Jennifer Verbrighhe, 44, of Escanaba. Further investigation resulted in officers finding suspected methamphetamine. She was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Delta County Jail. Bail was set at $500 and she is scheduled to return to court on January 23.

On January 4, at approximately 2:26 a.m., MSP troopers from Gladstone Post checked on a woman who was walking on US-2 in cold weather near K. 5 in Wells. The police noticed the woman and found that she was drunk. Subsequent investigation revealed that the woman was in possession of suspected cocaine. The woman was identified as Kristyn Hansen, 42, of Chesapeake, Virginia. She was arrested for possession of cocaine and booked into the Delta County Jail. Bail was set at $750 and she is scheduled to return to court on January 23.

On January 5 at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on South 5th Street near 2nd Avenue South in Escanaba in reference to a traffic violation. Further investigation resulted in officers finding suspected methamphetamine. The officer arrested the vehicle’s passenger, David Wench, 37, of Powers, for possession of methamphetamine and booked him into the Delta County Jail.

Bail was set at $1,000 and he is scheduled to return to court on January 23.
