Police identify man hit by train

SAINT ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The Saint Albans Police Department has identified the man who was struck and killed by a train on Thursday, January 9.

According to the police, 31-year-old Major Forrest from Saint Albans was pronounced dead at the scene.

Members of the Saint Albans Police Department, Saint Albans Fire Department, Kanawha County Emergency Medical Services and CSX Police responded to the area of ​​Spruce Street on Thursday after receiving a report that someone had been hit.

After searching a one-mile stretch of the railroad, a man was found lying on the south side of the railroad tracks near Willow Street.
