Met Police officer dismissed over sexual assault allegations

A Met spokesman said the hearing, which ended on Wednesday, found he had engaged in “discreditable conduct proven by gross misconduct”.

Det Ch Supt Clair Kelland, who leads the South West London Police Service, said: “Despite no further criminal action being taken, we take allegations of this nature extremely seriously.

“It took a lot of courage for the complainant to contact the police and deserved a comprehensive and thorough investigation.”

She added that the Met’s professional standards directorate was working to ensure officers met the “highest standards” which Baldeo had “fallen well below”.
