The Delhi Police on Saturday issued a notice to AAP MLA Mohinder Goyal and his staff in connection with the discovery of fake documents during cracking down on illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.

Sources told India Today TV that Goyal’s signature and official seal were found on the forged documents confiscated by the Delhi Police.

Goyal, MLA from Rithala in northwest Delhi, will be questioned by senior police officials at 5.30 pm today. The notice came days after the Delhi Police found fake documents allegedly in the possession of the legislator.

Now, the Delhi Police has started a two-month verification drive to identify and deport illegal migrants, following Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s directive in this regard.

The police arrested and deported him In the last few days, 30 illegal migrants from Bangladesh. The police also busted a gang responsible for issuing Aadhaar cards and other government identification cards on the basis of fake documents to illegal immigrants residing in the national capital.

During the crackdown, four gang members were arrested, including two Bangladeshi nationals.

We are facing a crackdown on illegal Bangladeshis living in Delhi Parliamentary elections in the country’s capital, which will take place on February 5. The results will be announced on February 8.
