Center County State Police are releasing more details about the cause of a crash that occurred Thursday evening on Penns Valley Pike.

Troopers say the driver of a Nissan SUV, identified as a 36-year-old Spring Mills woman, was seriously injured when she lost control on Route 45 and became airborne.

Investigators say the SUV was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when the driver crossed into the oncoming lane and then left the roadway.
