Brooke Shields she seems to have explained a lot in her memoir “Brooke Shields Don’t Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman.”

It’s not just about memories of trauma or surgery that would make it a truly personal account, but about the contradictory reality of being an aging actress in a spotlight that only wants to shed light on young and pretty people.

Brooke Shields actually saw it all, including a plastic surgeon who performed intimate surgery on his patient without asking for consent. How did the actress of “Mother of the Bride” find herself in this situation?

Well, Shields, now 59, told her gynecologist that she survived “bleeding and abrasions” for years after a specialist asked her if she felt discomfort related to the size of her labia. She breathed a sigh of relief when “wonderful” doctor he told her that surgical reduction was possible.

“Obviously it’s not covered by insurance because it’s considered cosmetic, which is very interesting.” Shields told US Weekly in a cover interview. “Last time I checked, I didn’t want to be a porn star.”

However, having to pay for the procedure wasn’t her worst experience with the whole procedure, as she underwent unwanted vaginal rejuvenation surgery as part of the package. It may have happened in her 40s, but she still hasn’t come to terms with it “trauma” irreversible procedure.

Leaving the office, the doctor “proudly” he informed her “that he added a small bonus” in the form of vaginal tightening. Shields was like that at the time “dumbfounded” she didn’t know how to react to this, especially since the doctor thought he was doing her a favor.

She said: “It was like an invasion – something strange, like a rape. There was no indication that you needed to be tighter, smaller, stronger or younger, especially there.

Needless to say, she and her gynecologist were furious with the surgeon’s actions. In the aftermath, she struggled with her feelings “anger” AND “shame” so bad that she couldn’t even bring herself to tell her husband, Chris Henchy.

The only reason the doctor escaped unscathed was because of her “I didn’t want talk about my lady parts appearing on the front page of every newspaper again.”
