One person was killed and two injured in a shooting at a New Bedford bar

One person is dead and two injured after a shooting at a New Bedford bar.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 1:21 a.m. Saturday, New Bedford police called Morna Lounge and Grill, located at 1621 Acushnet Avenue, on a report of shots fired inside the establishment.

Upon arrival, officers found three people with gunshot wounds. Two female victims were transported to St. Hospital. Luke’s in New Bedford, where they received treatment for their injuries.

The male victim, 27-year-old Cristiano Macedo of New Bedford, was also transported to St. Patrick’s Hospital. Łukasz, but upon arrival at the hospital he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is extremely active and no further information is available.

The homicide investigation is being conducted by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, New Bedford Police Department and the Homicide Unit.
