The number of people injured as a result of Russian shelling in the Donetsk region increased to six, including one fatality.

The number of people injured as a result of Russian shelling of the Donetsk region on Saturday, January 11 increased to six and one person was killed.

This has been reported Telegram by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, quoted by Ukrinform.

“According to the investigation, on January 11, the forces of the aggressor state shelled the village of Hryshyn in the Pokrov region. A 78-year-old retiree was caught in the outside impact zone and suffered fatal, life-threatening injuries. The type of weapon used is being determined,” the report reads.

The occupiers also carried out raids on the town of Bilytsia.

“Preliminary information suggests that the Russian Armed Forces dropped a FAB-250 bomb on the settlement. Four men, aged 40, 44 and 49, suffered concussion, shrapnel wounds, blast injuries and traumatic brain injuries. They were taken to hospital. In the town of Kostiantynivka, two women, aged 50 and 67, were injured in enemy artillery attacks. They were found to have shrapnel and gunshot wounds,” the prosecutor’s office said.

According to authorities, private and residential buildings, vehicles, houses and power lines were damaged in the affected settlements.

A preparatory investigation into the criminal proceedings concerning war crimes was initiated (parts 1 and 2, article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As we have already reported, according to the regional military administration, one person was killed and five people were injured on Saturday as a result of Russian shelling in the Donetsk Oblast.
