Two police personnel were injured in an IED attack by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur

Two policemen were injured on Sunday as a result of an IED explosion carried out by the police Naxalites in Bijapur in Chhattisgarh district, the official said.

The improvised explosive device went off at 5 p.m. in the forest of Jaigur village near Jangla when personnel of the District Reserve Guard and Kutru police station were taking part in a field dominance exercise, he added.

“Constables Gajendra Saha and Ramsu Majji of Kutru police station were injured in the IED blast. They were taken to a district hospital and are out of danger, the official said.

Security forces are conducting search and capture operations ultras involved in the eventhe added.
