The driver was seriously injured in a collision between two trucks

A truck driver suffered serious injuries following a collision with another truck.

The incident occurred on the westbound carriageway of the A303 near Popham Services in Hampshire shortly after 2pm GMT on Monday.

The vehicles collided after the first one he drove off the oncoming road.

Police said the driver of the HGV truck, a man in his 30s, remained in hospital. The second driver was not injured.

The road was closed overnight and the trucks involved were recovered. It reopened around 02:00.
