Command spokesman Nansel Ramhan told the press that the unfortunate event occurred on Sunday evening, January 12, 2025.

According to Ramhan, an Ajayi resident of Pablana area, he was caught at Angwan Bako area near Kaja Estate in New Karu Local Government Area of ​​Nasarawa State while transporting Salomey’s severed head to an undisclosed location on a utility motorcycle, popularly known as ‘okada’.

The police spokesman added that the state police commissioner had ordered an investigation into the matter.

“They rushed to the scene and saved the suspect from being lynched. The suspect was then taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. Further investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at the suspect’s residence where the remains of a woman, who was later identified as Eliojo Salomey, a 24-year-old from Yanyan, FCT, Abuja and serving member of the Corps, were recovered, he stated.
