Kenya’s Supreme Court has struck down a law criminalizing attempted suicide. We hear from one of the petitioners who filed the complaint why the judge’s ruling is important.

Also in the podcast, we revisit a landfill in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, which collapsed last August, killing over 30 people. How does the city deal with the garbage problem?

A shop owner tells us about the devastating effects of a fire at one of Ghana’s largest open-air markets and the efforts to rebuild the area.
