Forest Acres Police are investigating fires in the area of ​​Lakeview Circle

The police are asking residents to check whether there are any recordings of the events on intercom cameras.

FOREST ACRES, S.C. — Forest Acres Police are investigating six fires that occurred Monday evening in the area of ​​Old Mill Circle and Lakeview Circle, near Trenholm Road.

Police say dispatch received a report of a fire in multiple garbage cans at residential buildings in the area between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on January 13. Additionally, bales of pine straw were set on fire in Forest Lake Gardens.

Officials said there were no injuries and no structures were damaged.

Authorities say they have identified a juvenile suspect and the investigation is ongoing. The police are asking residents to check whether there are any recordings of the events on intercom cameras.

“We are very grateful that no one was injured and the fires were contained before any structures were damaged. “We can say at this time that we believe this is an isolated incident,” said Forest Acres Police Chief Don Robinson.

“The identified juvenile suspect is not from Forest Acres,” Robinson said. “We are asking residents to check their cameras and provide additional video that may be helpful in contacting our offices.”
