Liam Payne Collaborator Cancels Posthumous Release of Song: ‘Still Mourning’

Fans of the late Liam Payne we’ll have to wait a little longer to hear any posthumous releases.

After that first one One direction band member died on October 16 at the age of 31, producer Sam Pounds announced the release of Payne’s first posthumous song, titled “Do No Wrong”, on October 28. However, the next day Pounds canceled the release out of respect for the Payne family.

“Today I decide to organize the ‘Do nothing wrong’ campaign and leave this freedom to all family members. I want all proceeds to go to the charity of their choice (or any other charity they wish),” he wrote in a post on the website X (formerly Twitter).

Pounds continued: “Even though we all love this song, it’s not time yet. We are all still witnessing Liam’s death and I want the family (sic) to be able to morning (sic) in peace and prayer. We will all wait.”

Before the cancellation was announced, he wrote about “Don’t do anything wrong” in a since-deleted post on X“I pray this will be a blessing for the world Liam has always dreamed of. I pray that the angels comfort you every day by listening.”

He then focused on Payne’s loved ones, including his sister and son. “I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear and the entire family,” the musician said.

Pounds continued: “I pray this song will overshadow the negative echoes. I pray that supernatural, positive healing power will come to each of you.”

Before his death, Payne’s most recent music release was a March single titled “Teardrops.”

Payne died after falling from the balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to ABC Newssources confirmed that a partial autopsy revealed that the star “had many substances in his system.”

On Monday, October 21, a partial autopsy revealed that the singer had “he had many substances in his body“per ABC Newsincluding ‘pink cocaine’ – a combination drug containing methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA and caffeine, which may not always contain cocaine, according to National Capital Poison Center.

As of October 23, father of Liam Payne Geoff Payneis currently cooperating with Argentine authorities as part of the ongoing investigation into Payne’s death.
