Syosset Playground Robbers Shave Heads and Beat Teenagers – NBC New York

Police on Long Island are investigating the circumstances of an unusual attack on Friday evening after two 17-year-olds were allegedly beaten and had their heads shaved.

According to Nassau County officials, the two teenage victims were at the Crocus Drive Playground in Syosset, where they planned to meet with “three other male minors.”

When the two boys arrived at the park around 5:30 p.m., police said they were thrown to the ground and punched several times. Then, according to the police, the attackers taped the boys’ mouths shut and then shaved their heads.

After beating them and hitting them in the heads, the three thieves plundered the pockets of both 17-year-olds. Police say the young suspects fled, but officers were soon able to track them down and arrest them.

The three suspects will be charged with robbery, assault and unlawful deprivation of liberty. They were expected to be arraigned in Hempstead on Saturday.
