The trail of robbers leads to a dead end; A multi-state manhunt for two fugitives is underway

Hyderabad: Investigators are ascertaining the identity of one of the two wanted assailants involved in the crime ATM robbery in Bidar and the Afzalgunj shooting incident turned out to be a damp squib.

According to reports, after the Afzalgunj incident, the duo bought two bags near Madinah. They boarded an auto-rickshaw and reached Secunderabad railway station. From there they boarded another car, reached Trimulgherry and changed their bags and clothes at a secluded place. They also abandoned previously used bags and clothes there. “We recovered the bags and their clothes. From there, the accused booked another auto-rickshaw and we are trying to find out which direction they went,” sources said.
On Thursday, two people on motorcycles killed two security guards outside an ATM in Bidar and robbed them of Rs 87 lakh. They reached Hyderabad on the same bike, from where they planned to go to Raipur in Chhattisgarh by boarding a private bus. However, while checking the luggage, one of the accused, who refused to open the bag, pulled out a gun and opened fire on the travel agency employee. They have been free since then.
