Suspect wanted after shooting kills 1, injures 2 at Vancouver Mall

VANCOUVER Washington (KPTV) – Police are searching for a suspect or suspects after one person was shot and two others were injured at the Vancouver Mall on Thursday evening, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., police received a report of a shooting at a food court in the shopping center. They found that one person was dead and two others were injured and taken to hospital.

Police said there is no active threat, but the suspect or suspects are currently unknown. Officers searched surveillance footage from the mall in search of suspects, and officers are still searching all rooms in the mall.

The police also said they did not yet know the motive for the shooting and whether it was accidental or whether the attacks targeted specific people.
